Did You Know...
- The first newspaper in Anoka was run by A.C. and E.A. Squire in 1860, It was sold in 1863 to A.G. Spaulding. The name was changed to the Anoka Star and in 1865 changed to the Anoka Sentinel until June of 1865. In 1865 the Anoka Union was started by George Gray which was purchased by Granville Pease in 1866.
