OSBORN, (OSBORNE), HOWELL: I am looking for Fannie (Fanny) OSBORN
(OSBORNE) in the 1885 and 1895 state census. On her death
certificate she is listed as Fannie Osborn. In the 1880 Federal
Census, Fannie, her husband, Irving and family were in Rochester,
3-W ED 218 Page 10. Irving and a young child died in the 1883
Cyclone in Rochester. In 1885, Fannie and her daughter, Lillian were
not in the Wabasha or Olmsted County state census. 1900 Federal
Census, Carver County Chanhassen, Lillian was married to Edward
HOWELL and had 4 children. No sign of Fannie OSBORN. In 1910 Federal
Census, Anoka County, Anoka, Lillian and Edward HOWELL have seven
children and Fanny is living with them. In the 1920 Federal Census,
the family including Fannie OSBORN was still living in Anoka County,
Anoka. In 1930, Fannie Osborn was living with her grandson, Warren
HOWELL in Anoka County, Anoka. Fannie OSBORN died 13 Jan 1940 in

JOHANSSON (JOHNSON): If it is possible I wish some information about
some emigrants from Sweden. I don't know when they left Sweden, but
I have a letter written to my grandmother from Anoka in 1948 and
1950. Probably they were born between 1870-1880. Their names were
Albert and Augusta Johansson and as I can read in the letter they
had some children but i don't know their names. I suppose that these
people were cousins of my grandmother, and they were born at the
same place as she - called Prestholm in the north of Sweden.My
grandmother also had a brother who emigrated called Magnus
Johansson-he got a son called Lee Grant Johnson (born in USA) and
they lived in San Francisco. Thanks to you helping me with how I get

CAPISTRANT: Stanislas E. (Hus) Capistrant's birth date around 1810
in PQ Canada (settled in Centerville @ 1857, orig. Sorel PQ via
Massachusetts). He died in Centerville, MN in 1881.Served in Civil

McKENNEY/TENNISON/TROTT: They are TROTT; Joseph & family; had a son,
George J. born in MN; Joseph donated the land for Trott Brook
Cemetery in Ramsey as well as had a small school erected adjoining
the cemetery on his land. TENNISON: William and Benjamin: both
married daughters of Joseph Trott. 1860 census records show both men
married. Benjamin became naturalized citizen there & had two
daughters born in MN. William joined the Union Army and served by
going to South Dakota resulting in the signing of a treaty with the
native Americans/Indians. William's first wife is buried in Trott
Brook Cemetery. McKENNEY; William came to MN from Maine as did
Joseph Trott, William Tennison, & Benjamin Tennison. McKenney's
daughter married to Joseph Trott; died in MN. Father of Joseph
Trott's wife. I am researching the Benjamin Tennison family which
has taken me through the nineteenth century. I haven't been able to
much research on the Tennison's but have been able to go to the
early 1700's in the McKenneys. Any questions, you may reach me at

Hoffstedt, the author of the book "Trott Brook Cemetery". Carl lives
there in MN and is in charge of trying to restore Trott Brook
Cemetery which is also beside his ancestor's lake. I am interested

CASSEL: Looking for information on Anna Louise & Nels August Cassel.
Anna's maiden name was Erickson. Nels also went by Nils and August.
He changed his last name from Nielson to Cassel when he emigrated
from Sweden to America. They owned and farmed 80 acres in Nowthen in
Anoka county from 1892 - 1919. There is supposed to be a newspaper
article about them leaving the farm and moving to Minneapolis. They
had seven chilren: Albert & Alma (twins), Lillian, Minnie, Esther,
Ann, and Henry. The last five children were born on the farm.

Anoka in 1850. I understand that the first mass for St. Stephens was
said in their house. Also, I understand there is a "Hugh Donnelly"

City Police Officer, sadly he passed away December 23, 2004.
